The Models are a five piece original band based out of New Orleans, Louisiana. During their four year span, The Models have headlined clubs from Texas to New York, and held their own, opening many major concerts. In March 1984, The Models released a new single, "Fool To Try", b/w "It Isn't Over." WQUE-AM, a top station in New Orleans, picked up the song immediately and it quickly became one of the most requested songs at the station, showing The Models great local appeal. The song is still going strong, and will certainly receive a boost when The Models appear on "Airwaves" a T.V. dance show due for national release in late April on NBC. Already the biggest local hit for the band, the song has now been on the WQUE-AM (13Q) charts for six weeks. The Models, Johnny Indovina, Mike Ciravolo, Charlie Bouis, Steve Fuxan, and Gary Attardo, have a reputation of being the most exciting live band in the city. Also, with the release of "Fool To Try" they show the ability to capture the excitement on vinyl. The Models are making things happen and are creating a scene that is unequalled to any local groups. There is definitely a new type of mania happening here. |
